Just got off the phone with Walmart customer service, [Phone number removed]-925-6278. They said they will be emailing me a new, corrected code within 24hrs. I let them know the code I got seemed like a code for Xbox, 25 characters. I ordered a ps5 version. So, hopefully I'll get a usable code.
They told me the same thing and I called back in 48 hours and they told me they needed me to return the game to get a new code. I told them that made no sense because the game is fine I just need a new code. They were telling me to generate a new code they need to order a new game. I was like, how does that make sense, I got PS5 and you provided me a code for another system. It seems like a simple fix but everyone making it difficult. I miss the days the codes just came in the cover of the game.
Exactly and now these companies are putting into retailers' hands that hardly know what they are doing here. I remember the days of getting your code on a receipt and then adding it once you get home. Now we are at the mercy of these companies that don't care about you and only want your money.
