Recruiting UI and AI logic are unacceptable
I am posting this because the current state of Dynasty mode makes it impossible to enjoy the game as a team manager. For those of us who prefer to simulate games and focus on roster construction, the system is fundamentally broken.
- The Interface is a Disrespectful Time-Sink Manually recruiting is not a "gameplay mechanic"—it is a repetitive, mindless clicking chore. Spending over an hour every single season just to assign hours to individual players is infuriating. The lack of basic Quality of Life features, such as grouping tasks or bulk-applying hours to the draft board, is a massive oversight. The UI is inefficient and clearly wasn't designed with the user's time in mind.
- Auto-Recruiting Logic is Incompetent The auto-recruiting feature is essentially a "delete team" button. After simming hundreds of seasons, it is clear that the AI is incapable of maintaining a roster, let alone securing a Top 5 class. Even at the highest prestige levels, the auto-logic allows the roster to decay until the team is no longer competitive.
- The AI Actively Sabotages Manual Effort The most egregious issue is that the "Auto-Recruit" setting will actually overwrite the player's manual work. I have repeatedly attempted to target elite prospects manually, only for the AI to remove them from my board and replace them with mediocre 3-star recruits. You cannot "hybrid" recruit; the game forces you to choose between a mind-numbing manual grind or watching your program fail.
The recruiting system needs an immediate overhaul. We need a UI that supports bulk actions and an auto-recruiting engine that actually functions based on team prestige rather than defaulting to failure.
