I Finally Got Through To EA Chat (re: game crashing)

  • They acknowledged the problem and told me to contact Xbox for a refund (which makes absolutely no sense because I purchased the game from Gamestop and my Xbox works perfectly fine).

 

 

  • They were incredibly rude and defensive. I felt like I was talking to some kid, it was the most unprofessional customer service interaction I've had in a long time. Not even just towards me, he was talking crap about the agent who transferred me to him and how that agent was a "noob who doesn't know anything."

 

  • He said they will escalate the problem to "the team," but he wouldn't tell me what "the team" was, what the process for escalating it is, when I'd hear back...or even how I'd hear back.

 

  • The entire conversation was basically, "that sucks, dude...I'd be pissed...I passed it on, what else you want me to do, bro?"

 

  • Then he ended the chat without any notice.  I took screenshots of everything.  This entire situation has gotten ridiculous and the lack of communication, or even acknowledgement is appalling.

 

  • Day 10 for me.  39 games attempted, 38 crashes, 0 games completed start to finish (I simmed one to completion).

 

  • 4 uninstall/reinstall, 2 MAC address clears, 3 hard resets on Xbox, 5-6 deleted data on platform, 10-12 deleted the additional data.  I've changed the file names.  Nothing has worked.

 

  • At the time of this post, no one from EA has acknowledged the issue. One developer suggested that he wasn't aware of it (but that was days ago).
