Player lock when hurry up offense is called

When I’m playing duos and I’m not the offense I get player locked to the running back. I can’t switch and also most of the time can’t see the route or play at all. The audible square on the side pops up covering the screen and if I’m locked on a receiver then I can’t even see where I’m lined up.
