Ultimate team load in issue

My friend and I , the only person I play with. He users defense and I do offense. However the game no longer lets us load in this way. It’ll let us play if I’m defense and he’s offense but we suffer severely when placed that way. It’s gone on for days and no one has been able to help. Please fix this as I cannot continue to play like this
