Wear and tear needs work

Now I like the wear and tear. But yall got to do something about when the cpu (who never gets hurt) all of a sudden, when I'm trying to run the clock out has seven straight injuries. It stops the clock everytime. No injuries during the game from the cpu but when I'm trying to run the clock out I cant. Luckily I stopped them on defense. PLEASE FIX THIS

  • Thanks for sharing that, and yeah, that definitely causes a massive headache when you are trying to run the clock out at the end of a tight game. Having the CPU take seven straight "injuries" just to stop the clock when they have no timeouts left is incredibly frustrating.

This is a known simulation issue with the Wear and Tear system. The great news is that the team addressed this in our latest patch! You can check out the official details in the College Football 27 - Title Update August 6, 2026 Patch Notes.

Here are the troubleshooting steps and workarounds you can use right now to make sure these phantom stoppages don't ruin your games:

    • Adjust Your Injury Slider: Under the August 6th Title Update, the default gameplay injury slider was tuned down to 10. If you are playing in an existing offline or online Dynasty created before this patch, your sliders might still be set to the old default of 25. Go to your main settings or Dynasty settings under Gameplay Sliders and manually lower Injuries to 10. This maintains normal gameplay injuries while completely eliminating the excessive end-of-game stoppages.
    • Toggle Wear & Tear Off: If you want a 100% guarantee of zero injury stoppages during your late-game clock-killing drives, you can temporarily toggle Wear and Tear to Off under Game Options in the settings.
    • Auto-Sub Rotations: Fatigue triggers many of these CPU injuries. Try slightly raising your auto-sub thresholds in the settings so tired players are rotated out automatically before their health bars drop into the injury-trigger zone.

Give that slider adjustment a shot, and see if it helps you run the clock out in peace!

Hope to see you on the field,

    Thans
