When did ea stop trying

Im older and probably not any good at this game and late to critic. But why does my entire 85 man roster have to hit a cpu for them to be tackled. Or the dumb catching mechanic where I have to n ump so the cpu can make a play by hitting my foot and my player drop the ball. I shouldn't have to control every player. And the oline not blocking anybody but the rb most plays. Def coverage and the ability to continue to rin away from the play or not play the ball that hits them in the stomach
