Australian/Oceanic Servers & Matchmaking Feedback
Hi EA,
Are there currently any servers located in Australia or within the Oceanic region for College Football?
From my experience, online gameplay is extremely difficult due to latency. I genuinely love the game especially Ultimate Team but the delay makes online modes frustrating and significantly impacts my enjoyment.
If there are no Oceanic servers, I'd really encourage EA to consider adding one. I believe it would greatly improve the experience for Australian and New Zealand players, grow the community in the region, and encourage more people to keep playing. I've personally refunded previous College Football titles because of the online experience, and I know several others who have done the same.
It's particularly frustrating because other EA titles provide a much smoother online experience for me, so I know low-latency gameplay is achievable.
If Oceanic servers already exist and the issue is simply a smaller player pool, I'd love to see improvements to matchmaking instead. For example:
- Display the number of players currently searching in each online mode.
- Prioritise matching players within the Oceanic region before expanding the search.
- If the search needs to expand, clearly show that it's happening so players understand why they're experiencing higher latency.
College Football is an amazing game, and I'd love to continue playing it online. I just hope the online experience for Oceanic players can be improved.
