C & C 3 Tiberium Wars not running

I've just downloaded command and conquer 3 Tiberium Wars from Origin but can't get it too run on my laptop.  I'm guessing the issue might be to do with the laptop having integrated graphics card ( intel(r) uhd graphics 620 ) or maybe Windows 10 but I also have Red Alert 2 which works absolutely fine.  The error message says "Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed.  Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control panel.'  I haven't the option to change hard acceleration settings.  

Any ideas?

    Same problem here, even tried running compatibility and all alongside trying the file download and set up.

    Same, tried several possible solutions for almost a week now. I can get Generals, CNC4 to work all fine. It's CNC3 / KW and also Red Alert 3 that has an issue with direct x. The June 2010 redistributable installs fine (overwrites any direct x files it needs to) but the game still doesn't work.

    I have a brand new HP laptop with nvidia dedicated graphics. I'm thinking it's more to do with the screen/hardware - i.e. touchscreen perhaps. - Trying something out now and will report back.

    Edit: tried disabling my touch screen from device manager and reinstalling plus with the directx9 install but same issue. Shame.
