can't play command and conquer generals

I downloaded it but it wont load up after clicking on it. One screen opens where I choose between zero hours or the orginal and after I click something there it becomes unresponsive. I fill like I ha...

This happens also when I try playing Red Alert 2/Yuris Revenge, when I choose one of the two, it becomes unresponsive and crashes.
