Found out what the problem is. The company we are buying these games from is shut down so our money was stolen from us. You charge me money and don't give me the product I paid for!!! This is an outrage.

Umm... not exactly. The company you're buying this from is EA, and they're not shut down at all...
- The issue you're having is probably due to the malfunctioning Origin In Game feature. Open the game's properties in the Origin client, and check the "Disable Origin In Game" option to fix it. If the option is greyed out, this means you tried to launch the game first, and due to the malfunction, Origin thinks it's still running. To fix that, either kill the game launcher in the Task Manager, or just restart your computer.
- The company you're referring to that was "shut down" is probably Gamespy, which means the official multiplay for the game no longer works. But, even the fine box print of The First Decade already warned that multiplayer for these games was being discontinued and not guaranteed. However, community servers have already been set up, so it should be possible to play the Gamespy games online that way. More information on that can be found at http://cnc-online.net/
