C&C Remastered Bug: Engineers sometime damage buildings/not capture

Product: Command & Conquer Remastered
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug On some of the missions I've played the engineer units do actual damage to the buildings instead of capturing them. This happens in both games and on various maps (I haven't tried the units on skirmish or multiplayer maps). This is a game-breaking bug since there are some missions requiring the capture of buildings to either complete an objective or help with a mission.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a map and send an engineer to an enemy building. If it gets captured it's not bugged. If it gets damaged then its bugged.
What happens when the bug occurs? I don't get the intended result I wanted (i.e. building gets captured).
What do you expect to see? Not sure what to put here.

Honestly I don't know what to put here. The summary pretty much says it all.

  • @bf9d5d367f7a0f73 C&C or RA? for RA this is correct, you had to get buildings into the Red before it would be captureable.

    C&C Engies are OP, dont require red health building to take over.

    @ProudEnglishman Again...

    First off, Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert engineers work differently. So you MUST specify which game!

    In Tiberium Dawn, 1 engineer can always capture an enemy building. Period.

    In Red Alert, 1 engineer can ONLY capture an enemy building that has BEEN DAMAGED to a RED health meter status. IF you send an engineer in to a Green or Yellow status building it ONLY DAMAGES IT FURTHER.

    People really, really need to start specifying which game, and need to start understanding Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert are not 100% the same.
  • Thank you for your answer ,however I would point out that the games don't come with detailed instructions ,so how would you find the information without asking on here ?. Plus what do you mean by .....Again ?
