CnC Generals Zero Hour sideways screen

I guess i have a quite unique problem

my game is running  but...

it is sideways and on 2/3 of the screen (as in file)
as seen the menu and game are working

this far i tryed to run it with compatibility win 7 and xp
with and without administrator

every drvier is up to date

its not a rotation issue
tryed that as well

windowed mode dosnt have any affect/ dosnt show

My system is  lenovo miix 310 4gb ram (2in1 win 10 tablet)

reinstall doesnt work (game installation works on my pc with win8.1)

Check your Windows video settings, and see if there's any graphics scaling options enabled. That stuff tends to mess up a lot of older full-screen applications.

Is this the only game / program / app that launches this way?

Is there anything in the settings about "landscape" and "portrait" (under orientation) ? ... Have you tried the shortcuts CTRL + ALT + < arrow key > ?

    *thinking / listening*

How did you correct this issue?  I've attempted editing the configuration file, but that also fails to resolve. The custom launcher provided by another member also fails to detect C&C as my copy is not from Origins, but from the Last Decade compilation. All patches have been installed. I too am attempting to play on a Lenovo Miix 320 Tablet with Windows 10.

I was able to find this, http://www.cnclabs.com/generals/zerohour/command-line-arguments.aspx

Long story short, I created a shortcut on my desktop and applied the -win switch to force the game to be windowed, I then tweaked the resolution in the options.ini file. It works but it's not a true native fullscreen. If anyone has a fullscreen solution I'd be very interested.
