Controller Support for RTS games?

I have always been a huge fan of the C&C Games. I recently got a bundle that had all the C&C and i loved Red Alert on PS1.

So i had obviously used a PS1 controller. Now i have it on PC is there anyway to have controller support?

I have a PS3 controller along with the DS3 software to make most games work with my controller, but it doesnt work for these C&C games.

Is there any addons or software to make this happen?

    There are several tools you can download that can map controller buttons to keyboard keys. Joystick can be mapped to the mouse too. I used one of those longer time ago and it worked fine, can't remember the name of it though...

    It won't be much fun to play like this though, the pc versions are just not optimized for playing with a controller
