Customization is coming to Rivals

Update 1.5 is bringing vanity items to Rivals. You can customize units and missile explosions to personalize your experience or use Commander emotes to react in real-time to the action on the battlef...

They did a survey back in December or January.  One of the questions was to rank what you'd like to see get more development attention.  Vanity was an option but I find it really hard to believe that got higher priority than the other options.

Wish they shared the results with the community.

    It was linked through an in game message which is long gone by now unfortunately.
