^^^^^ This solved the problem for me on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine ^^^^^
There were 2x copies "dbghelp.dll" in my Zero Hour folder, nuking both fixed it.
God help anyone that uses EA chat help....

Tried for months and months and months. This is complete *. Still doesn't work. * EA GAMES for ruining CnC

I Deleted dbghelp.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
And it worked instantly
