DirectX Setup Error: An internal error occurred.

command and conquer red alert 3 i have windows 7 i keep getting DirectX Setup Error: An internal error occurred. what can i do.

    thank you soooooooooooooooooooo much all I did was disable the Virus Shield on AVAST 2015 and it worked thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried everything listed and I still get this error. Is there anything else I could do to fix this?
