DirectX Setup Error: An internal error occurred.

command and conquer red alert 3 i have windows 7 i keep getting DirectX Setup Error: An internal error occurred. what can i do.

thank you soooooooooooooooooooo much all I did was disable the Virus Shield on AVAST 2015 and it worked thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having this problem with Generals. Ran as administrator, tried updating Directx seperately, no disabled antivirus, no joy... just the same error. Windows 7 as well.

Super old thread I know, but delete origin and then download it again, but this time download the technical preview version of origin.

Old thread same issue. Purchased new pc running win 11 pro. Installed EA app showing my games in in Library. Download process takes me to 43% then subject error shows up. Clearing cache does not solve issue Re downloading gets me to same freeze point. DirectX 12 up to date. Worked fine in old pc win10 2 days ago.
