Do I have to buy the other C&C games to play 4 or not?
I have never bought any other C&C games, but I love RTS games. I was thinking of picking up the newest one (C&C4), but do I have to buy C&C3 to play it?

You can buy C&C4 as a standalone if you wish, with no needed to have any previous games in the series. Here's an Origin link if you're having trouble finding a physical copy.
That said, you mention that you love RTS games, so you might want to think about the C&C Ultimate Collection. It's got all the C&C RTS games so far and even a FPS to mix things up. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it.
