Healing drone heals units in the same hex

Apparently, adjacent also means directly below it. A drone can heal 7 units simultaneously, I tried this before on a one sided match where my opponent disconnected (I ended it in a tie as there was nothing to destroy but his base). The drone would go back and forth on outside so fast that it would stay on a tile and heal 7 units at once.

A unit cannot shoot at another unit that is directly below it, can it? Then the drone should probably also not be able to heal a unit that is directly beneath it.

Then what about an Orca shooting a predator that's trying to slip underneath it whilst the Orca hasn't finished reloading? Some units must stand still on a tile before shooting another unit. This can also occur with venoms/talons shooting a laser/missile squad that tries to move past the air unit.

If I understand correctly how this game works, then it really is pretty weird. Imagine a Venom standing on a certain hex field, not moving. Then an infantry unit comes along and moves all the time. It moves in one line, crossing the map beneath the Venom. Then, if I understand correctly, the Venom would be able to shoot at the infantry unit when it is 1 hex field away, but not at the moment when the infantry is directly below it. The question also is, what if the unit which is moving is not exactly 1 or 0 fields away, but something in-between?

There are some really weird design choices in this game. Perhaps they would make sense if you knew why they were made. But since these things are never told to us unless by chance, stuff seems often weird.

Um, no the venom can still shoot the infantry if its directly below it. I still have to test these, I'll do so after I have gone out of town for like 2 days. I tested features between GDI and Nod and saw which units win against their counterparts. The 3 basic infantry (militants, laser squad, flame troopers and their GDI counterparts) always ends in a tie if neither gets a millisecond worth of defenders advantage. GDI vehicles win, excluding the predator to the tick tank unless the tick tank can't burrow (a pit-bull and an attack bike can end in a tie if the pit-bull was shot once with a laser squad and the attack bike has the defender's advantage). Nod tech wins, maybe because of higher health or DPS (excluding Juggernaut vs artillery).

Well then, is it so that some air units can fire at an opponent that is directly beneath it, and others can't? Or what does it depend on?

I think an Orca cannot do that. When I play them, they always seem to have to be on an empty field themselves to be able to start to fire, if I am not mistaken.

It simply depends on who’s in the hex first. First unit reserves the right to stand there, other units can only pass by, if not blocked.
