Another major reason this needs to be changed. Just had the game lag out right as I was about to win a match. Then a screen came up saying the match was a draw and I'd lost 25 points? After playing against somebody with a higher faction ranking than I had?
I'm not the kind of the guy who immediately jumps to conclusion that the game is purposely made to be frustrating so that players spend more money to win, but this is kind of ridiculous.
It's a way of gauging skill. If you get up to 1000+ then consistently get your * kicked, you probably belong in the 900's.
And don't play if your connection is bad.

I get that, but then it locks you out from unlocking new units. I'm completely fine with losing points in sectors, but you should not be locking units behind skill level. That is going to be a recipe for balance disaster.
In other words, when you lose a match you ought to lose points in your sector; but don't take them away from your level. Very few people are going to be able to get to level 14 to unlock the Basilisk and Mammoth. And worse than that, few will get to level 12 either, which seems to have some critical units for GDI and Nod.

This is the issue I am at. This was also the issue right before level 6 as well. Before I got double harvesters I would have to play against double harvesters. I got lick of the draw one day and went against more purple that didn't have it get than did. The level I am at now was 20 limits below lvl 10. I now have lost so many games and points due to people having units that I can not have access to. The big issue is this is NOT A SKILL ISSUE. I have a knife and they have a gun. It mattress the game not fun and makes me not want to play. I hate at the beginning of a match and it shows the rank and I know right off the bat that I will have or will be at a disadvantage. Any time the lvls is are even I usually win. If I lose I see why I did. This is a very real issue.

The issue is the people getting kicked back down have an advantage due to having units the lower guy does not have access to.

Yes the people with more units shouldn't play against players with less. For certain key units, like Scarabs, M.L.R.S, and Orcas, this is very hard for a lower-level, less-stacked deck. It's Sometimes impossible and people give up.

Well I guess I can't relate. I'm doing just fine as it is. As for double harvesters, just send some anti armor units their way like a Pitbull/Attack Bike during early game. Orcas ARE NOT COUNTERED BY PITBULLS/ATTACK BIKES. The best way to get rid of them is with Anti armor infantry. Laser Squads, Talons, and Cyborgs are great.
You just have to adapt and learn the counters. That's how I climbed and that's how you get good.
