That is complete and utter nonsense.
Every single strategy game in the world has the option to give up. Chess has it. Starcraft has it. The old C&C games have it. That C&C Rivals does not have it properly built in is rather an oversight than an intelligent design decision. Maybe they thought "Ah well, each game is rather short, so perhaps we don't need that?". Or maybe it's the fact that this game is on mobile, which means you don't have as much space for placing buttons on the screen. Without a doubt, if this game were on desktop, we would not even have this discussion because the option to end a game would always have been included right from the start.
You know when we wouldn't need this for good? If they were able to come up with a really good solution for the matchmaking. I would love to see that happen, but I am losing my hope and faith that they will ever get this right.
Okay then fine. Every player should disconnect when he has an inkling that he's going to lose. That'll surely improve the game. Loads of fun.
Imagine if every single one of your wins was like that. Would you keep wanting to play?
- 7 years agoSomething needs to be done. With this recent reset I am seeing an a lot of players DC often now and causing errors within the game. These players need to be held accountable and even fined. Some games have a DC fines, for example you get charged X amount of XP or X amount of time you can't play. This should be enforced.
- BattaIia7 years agoSeasoned Acecausing errors, lol. Sure, just make things up and scare people, then they will side with you.
Take a look at every single game with a disconnect fine. Notice anything in common? They are team games. They are fined because they are ruining the fun of their teammates.
There is absolutely no damage to me when my opponent disconnects. Just allows me to end the game faster. Making them sit there watching my units roast their base doesn't help them in any way, so why should they be forced to watch it? No reason. - 7 years ago

You don't cause errors by disconnecting. What you do is to give your opponent a free throw to score a win.

Except that people don't do it when their base is surrounded. They do it when their first harvesters gets killed. They do it when their flying rocket troopers gets killed in the beginning of the game after trying to take out your harvester and failing. They do it when they lose the first missile. They do it when their bike rush doesn't go as planned and they see shock troopers attacking their base.
A bunch of cowards if you ask me. That's what happens when you play millennials. That's the result of those soccer and teeball games where they didn't keep score so as not to offend the kids who lose. Now they aren't used to losing so they quit. They tantrum when their plan doesn't go their way.

I am not trolling. I am making a statement that is only true.
The error it causes is "battle log error" it has happened every time some one DCs.
@Battalia
I am not making things up. It does happen and this is what needs to happen.
