Questionable decisions about this game's foundation.

I have lost 3 out of maybe 25 games. After first watching the game it is extremely to figure out that this game is broken to it's core.

For one, there is no incentive to charge up the missle. Especially for the first one. Wait until last second and the missle will fire instantly.

Two, the unit pathfinding is attrocious. My only losses are due to the other player glitching out my pathfinding. All you need to do this is a Predator (to attack while moving)and move back and forth between the open slots on the pad. Once you occupy a slot the enemies unit will just stop. Allowing you to fire off the missle.

  • I agree with this but I dispute that it's a fundamental problem with the game. Things like balancing and pathing are exactly the kind of thing that they have us testing in the pre-alpha for. To say that it's broken to the core means you misunderstand the point of this test imo.

  • It's not simple pathing. It's the way the objective works with the hexagon style locations. More than one unit cannot be in a space. Occupy the space with faster units and you can't really lose.

That's a fair assessment, but I also think that it's an interesting game mechanic that adds an extra layer of strategy to it. Having to plan where you units go and not just mindlessly deploy and forget is what separates this game from things like clash royale. To me the issue is more the fact that units that can attack while moving have the ability to exploit this, remove that option altogether and it might make it more balanced.
