Have you guys tried running in administrator mode?

  • Yeah I've tried that, and the error still appears. I've been told to disable UCA and then try run as administrator. Do you think that would work?

    http://answers.ea.com/t5/Command-Conquer-The-Ultimate/Common-Problems-Read-This-Before-Posting/m-p/222052#U222052:

"***FATAL*** String Manager Failed to Initialize Properly" error on Vista/7: To fix this error, make sure the game is running as Administrator:
Browse to the game folder, right click on "Game.exe" -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Tick "Run This Program as an Administrator".
Do that for all .exe (application) files in the RA2 folder.
Note: This error can also occur if you do not install as Admin

  • Right I managed to get this sorted. Running as administrator just by itself will not work. I found that if you disable UAC then run as administrator it will. Then I encountered another problem of the video not working so if you guys have the same problem you can just follow the steps on this clip, it worked for me and now the game is running perfectly
