Red Alert 2 not working on EA app

I’ve gotten rid or Origins and installed the EA App and downloaded Red Alert 2 through the EA App but when I got to launch the game it ask for permission which I grant and then it tells me it failed to launch and try later.

I wait and try but get the same message. I’ve clicked repair but it doesn’t help.

any idea on the solution for this?

  • Give it a go. I am getting mine back if they like it or not. I have what I need to dispute it with my bank as I have tried to resolve it with EA and they won’t even honour UK law.

@沥青铀 Please search in the game library. My Red Alert 2 is still in the game library and can also be downloaded, but it is not compatible with the Win10 system
  • Hey everyone, I found the easiest and best fix for this, download the Command and Conquer bundle on Steam. It recently got added and works like a charm, and it’s only $10 for 12 games (including red alert 2). Hope this helps.

  • Hi all,

I got the the game running however i have not found a possibility to save the game if you want to take a break and to reload where you were. find in the files the exe file gamemd.exe . it is a start...

  • How did you get it to run?

I tried canceling the EA overlay

    Tried to install the CnCNet5_YR_Installer

Tried as administrator, tried in compatibility mode to windows 8/7/xp/98

All i get is a message that the game has not been released.

  • Replying to myself - this was solved by running the game with a user that has an admin role and not within a "child" account that was limited by Microsoft
