Red Alert 2 run error

Yes, I tried that with the other two methods.  Nothing happens when I click Detect.

There's a kind of workaround: Alt-tab out of the game and then Alt-tab in again and you'll see the menu.

Thanks.  I did that.  It's just hard to use the pull down menus when you can't see the choices.

So you mean that Alt-tab doesn't resolve the problem?

Yes, the alt-tab does work as a work around but it's really time consuming.  Especially if you have to use the drop down menus to change the settings.

im trying to get my red alert 2 working but when i hit play it says ---the ordinal 1111 could not be located inthe dynamic link library wsock32.dll.------ if some one can help me ide really appreciate it

I have the same problem, with Windows 8.1.
