TUC Red Alert 2 - Changing Resolution Bug

Hi there,

I have searched the forum and the only posts on this are from years ago with solutions that do not work for me - such as editing an ini file which I do not seem to have on my system, so I'm not sure if that's applicable to TUC version.

I can run this game fine in its default settings, but if I try and change the resolution to the highest available the video gets condensed to the left half of the screen and it goes all purple and green and distorted. The only fix is to close the game. I cannot find a way to change the resolution and its not a very fun experience playing on the lowest that its set to by default!

As a secondary point, I see in plenty of videos on YouTube that people have the game running in a much more 'zoomed-out' display than the game has by default. Is that something you have to mod? Or does the wider viewing area come with a higher resolution? If its the former, can anyone please let me know where to go to get that mod for the TUC version, if its available?

Can anyone please help?

    @mwestwood1993 You really shouldn't run RA2 on your native resolution; since the gameplay doesn't scale, you'll need a magnifier glass to still identify the units, and the game engine doesn't cope well with having to render large amounts of animations on-screen.

    But, what IcedSonic said is correct; the CnCNet client contains fixes for the graphics issues that the game has.
