You know, in the core this is a 2D game from 1995... I mean, it'll need a bunch of extra RAM compared to the '95 game, since it has much higher res graphics, but, for the rest... still basically a 1995 game. There's no 3D, so, no reason for it to need a beefy graphics card, either.
I'm not sure what's up with those recent DirectX errors, but they seem to be related to DirectX 9, from what I can see. This remaster, while backed by the original game as game logic core, runs on a brand new version of Petroglyph's GlyphX engine, so I see no reason why it would not work. It's not some older game for which you have to find a way to make it run; it's being developed for, and tested on, modern hardware and operating systems. So there really is nothing to worry about in that aspect.
