A Cut Above Achievement Not Unlocking

achievements "a cut above, live with the hot ones, full contact, pusher, and autofire" refuse to unlock, ive tried updating the EA App, cleared the apps cache, linking and unlinking and linking again my steam account, nothing seems to fix this error, its the last achievements i need

    Hello, thank you for your very quick and very detailed reply. Last night I deleted the game again and reinstalled it one more time just in case. This morning when I got up the game was finished downloading, so I started a new new game plus save on story difficulty and then the achievement progress was finally working as intended. I was able to get each of the before mentioned weapon exclusive achievements to pop so finally got all the achievements. Again thank you for your help I can tell if I didn’t fix the issue today what you sent would have definitely been a lot of help. Thank you

    That is great! Redownloading is never fun, especially if it takes that long, but you were able to get those achievements!

    @Bone_Goddess This is going to be more data-related than your Steam account or EA account. Achievements are based on saved data, and sadly, we can't see that data, so there isn't a way to say you need to do ABC or you missed XYZ, which is why you didn't get it. I have seen a few Reddit posts and Steam posts on this as well with steps that may help.

    If the achievement in Dead Space isn't unlocking, it likely means you haven't reached the required kill count with each weapon, which is 30 kills per weapon. Typically, we know we did, which means the save file didn't record accurately or is corrupted in some way.
     
    Double-check your progress, ensure you're accurately targeting enemy limbs to get the kills counted and consider using strategies like targeting swarms or tentacle-spawning enemies to quickly rack up kills with each weapon. 
     
    Key points to remember:

    • Check your kill count:
      Make sure you've actually gotten 30 kills with each weapon in your inventory. 
       
    • Focus on limb dismemberment:
      To register a kill for the achievement, you need to sever an enemy's limbs, not just shoot them in the body. 
       
    • Use efficient enemies:
      Swarms of smaller enemies or enemies that spawn multiple projectiles can help you quickly reach the kill count with a single weapon. 
       
    • Check for bugs:
      Sometimes, achievements might not register correctly due to bugs, so try restarting the game or reloading a save to see if it fixes the issue.
