I've escaped the USM Valor 3 times from a previous save, however when I finish the conversation with Daniels and she tells me to go to the Crew Deck, my game doesn't pop with the "Chapter 9 completed" and I don't get another main objective. I don't want to have to restart my whole game just to get past this bug.
The same problem - game has not finished 9th chapter after escaping from Valor - I tried reinstalling, loading saved progres even a chapter before, going to other parts of Ishimura and coming back - nothing works. I see the problem is from january - and nothing happens? any help EA? it is not the first glitch, when i was trying to get the rig from the captain dead body - there was no body... but restart of the game solved this, body magicaly was back, but now nothing. I playyed the old Dead Space (original) years ago and it was a great game, now it is frustrating. I'm not going to start the game from the begining.
PS5, SSD installed from the disc, all updates, yesterday and days before
I have tried the way with bomb - it was back after drop but it hasn't help
I've the same problem since April. So it's not possible to finish chapter 9 respectively enter chapter 10.
My last savegame is just before the singularity core.
I've tried several ways:
- reinstalling the game (with and without latest patch 1.006)
- load the oldest savegame
- go back to the nuke which appears every time again and reinitialize the sequence

I don't understand, why EA isn't doing anything?! This topic isn't new and also not a rarity.
The first time it was brought up was in February and there is no fix for that problem yet.
The only way seems to be to start the game from beginning.
I can't believe a developer would give such a nonsensical answer!

So I'm pissed off, the fact that the problems are not fixed doesn't exactly contribute to customer satisfaction...

Just picked this game up for the PS5 and ran into this. I'm sorry, but how the hell is this still a bug? Its a linear game, not some complicated RPG, there's literally no excuse. Looking through the forum, this been known since the release and now its nearly August and its still broken? I saved before realizing it was broken so the "official fix" will not work (and the autosaves don't help either as they only date back a few minutes). I'm not going to replay 10 hours. Honestly, this will be the last game I will ever buy from this company.
Does anyone know if this was ever resolved?
I've just run into the exact same game breaking big on PS5 and can see this same issue has been reported since February.
Unbelievably annoying with 10hrs plus £ invested in playing a game. I thought the least EA could do is provide support to resolve fundamental defects

After chapter 9 in dead space, there is no current objective. I can't really reload an old save due to this being my impossible run. I could really use some help!
