Dead Space 3 No in game sound

I can hear sounds in the pre-game menu, but once I load a save all sounds and voices are cut out. I can partially hear some sounds when I plug my speakers in half-way, but once my computer recognizes that something has been plugged in, the sound stops again. I tried working with my mixer, but nothing works.
