Expired CD Keys Dead Space 2 (2017 date of purchase)

Expired CD Keys

How do you resolve this? I have already contacted both Valve and EA CD Key ticket. Yet to get any useful help. This really is ridiculus. How can a key bought over 5 years ago expire. This makes things so limited. The money is not the problem either. Since it is bought through steam, I cant even buy a new one there. How absurd is that. In the end I made a new account and bought a new one. Still this is/should not be the way to resolve things.

    Guess., I'm on my own here. Anyways thanks for reply. I solved this with a new account for now. Just in the future this seems unecessary complicated. It should not be.

    Hi there, 

    I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to use the same product Key you've purchased in the past. Can you please confirm where you made the purchase? Was it done through Steam or did you purchase it on Origin/EA app?

    Yes, it was indeed through steam. CD Key support site said I had to contact VALVE instead. This is all getting complicated. If I can confirm. Does the keys have an expiry date or is it a fault somehow?

    Some older games used to have an activation limit, which might be related to the error you're receiving here. If it was purchased through the EA app, the EA Help Support should be able to increase the activations for you. I'm not sure if they're able to assist with a key through Steam though. If you would like to check with them, please contact EA Help Support.
