Re: Chapter 9 Glitch - Can't progress story

So, just completed Chapter 9 on my new game and can confirm it works. I'm now on Chapter 10 and have got the achievement. 

Its a crap work around seems as I put 7+ hours into my first save for nothing, but at least I can carry on with the story again.

If you want to make a new save and run through real fast on "Story" like I did that's up to you. Everything dies In 1-2 shots and you self heal on that difficulty so takes very little time at all to get back to Chapter 8. Raise your difficulty back up before fighting the leviathan again so you start Chapter 9 on your required difficulty so you can still get the missing achievement.

Hopefully they can patch it out soon, but this is my work around for now.

Hi I'm still having this issue. Like everyone says chapter 9 just doesn't end, and chapter 10 never starts. Daniels gives the audio cue to go to crew deck but the door remains locked and there's no main objective. I backtracked and made a save on the valor and tried replaying it multiple times but no luck at all.

I can no longer progress in the game at all 

Is it after yesterday's update this occurred?  Same happened to me on Chapter 7 (see other thread).  Story progress broken. Think update may have corrupted save as it's a new version of game. When I first loaded after update all mission listings were blank and my security level had gone from 3 to 1. All the save stations in game were blocked too. I had to revert to older save and reboot.

Started happening like a day or two ago 

All that happens is I finish escaping, the cutscene plays, and you have the conversation at the end and it will only give you a side objective. You also do not receive the achievement. I have replayed the objective several times and the same thing happens each time. I do not have a save before the last objective of the mission.

Sadly having the same issue on my second play through with NG+. Currently using the run to wrap up remaining trophies before attempting Impossible and unfortunately cannot process further. Attached image highlighting locked Crew Deck door on the bridge as well as lack of current main objective.

After exiting the Valor, audio clip plays noting someone had opened the door on the bridge to the crew deck. This can be listened to from Chapter 9 audio logs, but last log space still blank. Crew Deck door is locked red.

Is anything else happening? Occasionally when loading the first time the camera will be zoomed in what almost appears like first person view/mode. Restarting the application will fix this but the issue of being unable to progress from chapter 9 to 10 (as detailed above) is still happening

Any update this game is legit not playable for all of us waiting here? The problem needs to be fixed or we need to get our money back

Is anything else happening? No the game allows me to go over the whole station, but not proceed into chapter 10, the crew deck door says locked despite the call saying the door had been opened after escaping the Valor

can confirm replaying the game does work not exactly a ideal work around but it does work just a waste of 10 hours 

I haven’t played the game in over a week because of this. 
Was really enjoying it but not that keen on dumping a whole bunch of time to get back to where I was and potentially running into the same issue. 

Same here, I haven’t played the game in a week. This is a huge disappointment from EA. My friends legit didn’t buy the game after I told them about this bug

Just tried again and still no luck. 
Reverted to previous save, same issue. 

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and loaded up a previous save, same issue. 
even tried to see if getting another trophy would pop but don’t have any that I can get at this stage in the game that isn’t locked.

Date this issue started (is it still happening?)? It started on Feb 6th I think, and yes, it is still happening.
Is anything else happening? I'm just stuck at the end of chapter 9.  I escaped the valor and got the voice line instructing me to go to the crew deck, but the door is locked when I get there.  I also have no main objective to follow.

On PS5, internal SSD and having the same issue as OP described. I have reloaded a save earlier in Chapter 9 in the engine room of the Valor and completed chapter 9 multiple times. No change. No matter what Chapter 10 does not trigger and the door to the crew deck does not open. I cant go back any farther as I'm playing on Impossible mode. The only other glitches I have experienced were a lighting glitch when the power cell that goes dead whhen trying to use the elevator on the valor, that deck was very bright and the textures seemed flat. Then after going into the elevator and a new area loaded everything was alright. And in the engine room of the Valor, the fire that is spraying out continuously go away when Isaac gets close. It looks very odd, and they dont hurt when I walk past them. Otherwise, I absolutely love the game and think its a great remake, but clearly not enough time was given for QA.
