You can use a combo to do it.  W+D for up and right, W+A for up and left, S+A for down and left, and S+D for down and right..  Not easy but will work.  Have to press them both at the same time.  I have been told you can also use the numeric keypad numbers also.  5 being the center, 1 down-left, 3 down-right, 7 up-left, and 9 up-right.  I haven't tried the numeric ones but the dual combos for WASD do work.  I am 75 years old and my motor skills are not too swift.
