Re: Dead Space - Died and stuck loading forever

It's impossible. 3 times I've quickly seen the main menu but it won't let me click load or it doesn't register if I did. A few times I've accidentally clicked continue which of course continues the loop. It moves way too quickly.

I feel I'm forever stuck

@flyry23It’s just rlly hard. If you have a PS5 I know 100% it’s possible because after I did it the 1st time I got stuck in the loop again and it only took me 4 more tries to get it right.


Close game.

Open game.

Wait for Epilepsy Warning screen.

Power off controller.

Hear flatline. Wait about 3-4 seconds.

Power on controller and immediately hit X just before the message showing your controller is disconnected.

If done correctly you will get the menu.

Like I said it took me 100+ tries the first time maybe less and I too thought it was impossible. There is literally less than a split second margin for error with this one.

oh and one more thing. I thought the menu was moving too quickly as well. This happens when you either call the menu a hair too late or you click continue past the menu. Easy mistake to make.

@Gear2ndGandalf  i hope they patch it this week. i'm trying to beat this before hogwarts legacy comes out. This is so frustrating. 

It sucks, but unless you’re trying to show up your friends know that DS and Hogwarts aren’t going anywhere.

you're right, but should this really be marked as "solved" when the resolution is diffuicult and it happened to you again afterwards? I don't know how much they monitor these boards, but not a lot of talk about it on reddit, but some people are posting about it on twitter and others are posting the  video you commented on and neither method is working for me

This issue needs more exposure for sure and yeah this is just a community quick fix that doesn’t seem to do it for everybody.

My issue was a bit different from that YouTuber’s so I found my own way and luckily it works. I was able to get my data back and forge on to chapter 5 which is terrifying!

I can’t speak for your death loops obviously but I gave up a few times before I finally got it. And I mean it is a nasty son of a *.

I did post on Reddit to spread awareness. I hope it gets patched soon.

This fix doesn’t work for my problem. Menu pops up for a spilt second and either black screen errors out or keeps repeating the death loop. 

I restarted this last night after being stucked on chapter 6 death loop for 5 days. it just happened again in Chapter 9. I'm so pissed. this game is trash.

i actually got the controller trick to work one time and first death it happened again.

i want my money back

Happened to me. EA doesn’t care, and they have no idea how to make a game with a start screen menu. They’ll say it’s all good on their end and tell you to just restart the game all over again.
