Sorry, hadn't checked the thread in a while. The save was impossible new game plus, I have no autosaves to rollback to. Seems that we both came to the same conclusion as well, hitting the button to move the marker and then IMMEDIATELY saving will HARD LOCK saves. The game progresses as normal until you reload though. Then the save is locked.
Like you said, I wish I could roll back the saves, but were not able to. If these hard lock problems aren't getting fixed soon, I would love impossible to have the feature to rollback to at least the previous save. This was my third play through, I'm in love with the game, but it has some serious hard lock issues. To my knowledge, if you're playing the game on a hard drive it can hard lock itself due to batteries, rigs, keycards, etc. not spawning in Chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11. Now hard locks are possible in at least two different places in chapter 12, even on SSDs, from the bug we experienced. PLEASE add rollbacks to impossible mode. Even if it wouldn't work for my save, please don't make anyone else throw away 8+ hours when they didn't even make a mistake.
