Hello, I managed to fix this problem by just extracting all the .rar archives from the directx folder and placing them inside C:\Windows\SysWow64. Thank you for the answer anyways though.

    @WhatD4DogDoing Fair enough, thank for the update. 🙂 We generally want to keep folks from poking around in the Windows folders, but if you've sorted things out, then great!

    Tried downloading Dragon Age II onto my new laptop and it won't run, same error code as above. Please help.
