Redeem an old and used Dead Space 2 CD-Key

Hi,

I have an old and already used CD-Key for Dead Space 2. I had to use it back then when installed the game with the CD on my computer. Now i wanted to play the game again, but since we are in the future, i don't own a CD-Reader anymore. I tried to redeem the key, but ofc it didn't worked, since the key was already used.

My question: What can i do now?

Please. Just don't send me to the EA-Support-Live-Chat-Helpline. Talked to some person in India while waiting 10 minutes for each respond. I just can't handle this anymore. After an hour of writing he/she just sended me links to the TOS and the Questions/Answers-Forum from the community, which i already googled prio to the live-chat conversation and they basically say i have to talk to the live-chat-support. I can handle any answer... even when it says "you can't add this game to your origin-account, use a CD-Reader". I just need a clear and direct answer.

For GTA 4 i had to use the CD to deactive the key to use the key again. This is not helpful because again, i don't own a CD-Reader, but it is atleast an answer and atleast a possible solution to my problem.

    Hey @Peterpwnts @GIDEON5538 

    I would recommend reaching out to our support and providing the CD key so we can check if it is redeemed and help get on the correct account if so.

    Hey @Peterpwnts To confirm if you try to redeem the older CD Key in Origin, do you get a message that the key is already redeemed/used? If so this would indicate it is already linked to an EA account and you would want to sign in with that account to have access to the game.

    Thanks for your respond. Yes like i wrote in my inital post: I tried to redeem it, but it was already redeemed. I can't really remember that you had to create an EA Account to play Dead Space 2 when you bought the physical CD, but in that case i would not know my old account name or email. Now when i think of it, the game was just an application and not startet over the origin-launcher.

  • I have the same problem with dead space 2 on steam. My serial number always shows that I have registered, but that is the result of my previous registration. Now my serial number is invalid and I can't open the game. How can I solve it? If you can, please help me solve the problem. Thank you very much

  • Well i contacted them but was worried because of my last try witht he live support. this time they helped me and added the game to my current account. the last  live support was just horrible i guess.
