uncontrolled spin in PC Dead Space2
I downloaded Dead Space through Origin recently and had the uncontrolled spin problem. I did manage to solve it by adding a file called joypad.txt to the Dead Space folder in My Documents. That solved the problem in Dead Space.
However, I have purchased and downloaded Dead Space 2 through Origin and have the spinning issue that having joypad.txt in the Dead Space 2 folder does not solve. I've unplugged a USB game controller, killed the controllers management program. The spinning is still there. I cannot control the main character so the game is unplayable. Another issue I have is the first couple of menus are essentially unuseable, they float half off screen in the bottom of the display, when the mouse is moved to the menu it jumps back into view but tthen immediately goes back to the bottom of the screen. I have managed to fight my way through these menus to start the game but then I get the uncontrolled spinning right after the first movie. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please don't tell me to connect a XBOX 360 controller, if I wanted that I would have purchased the XBOX version of the game.

Thanks for the response. I have no external devices connected to my PC other than a monitor, Keyboard (USB/RF), mouse (USB) and a network cable. I had already disconnected my Logitech G13 before posting the original problem, which kind of defeats the purpose of owning one.
I did a complete shutdown, restarted and lo and behold the game responded satisfactorily.
Might I make a suggestion that after installation from Origin, instead of simply stating the game is ready to play, a suggestion to reboot is made. Might prevent some frustration in the future.
