XSX/PS5 - Can enter Crew Deck in Chapter 5, breaks game later

In Chapter 10 I have to get the Crew Deck Key Card from the 2nd floor of the Zero-G Gym. However, I did this earlier in the game while exploring, so I already have the Crew Deck Key Card in my inventory. The game doesn't seem to recognize this, and when I go up to the 2nd floor of the gym the Supervisor's corpse isn't there, and neither is the key (since I already have it). As a result I can't satisfy the criteria of the quest (getting the key) so I can't complete it.

Nope, nothing. The keycard is in my inventory and I can't remove it unless I go back to an earlier save and lose about 12 hours of game time.

My guess is that EA will have to patch it, remove the keycard, and spawn the card+corpse again (and not have the card spawn earlier than Chapter 10). I don't see any way around it.

Having a similar issue where Mercer and the hunter never showed up in the cutscene and now the glass broken by the hunter has reappeared, preventing me from going to Mercer’s quarters. Stuck on objective “Find the Crew Deck Key”. PS5.

There's a fix coming soon (next week or so) that will recognize that you have the key when you exit and re-enter the area, so stay tuned.

I have the exact same situation.

Have the same issue, and unfortunately no save game from a time before I picked the cars up.

I hope they can fix that soon, cannot continue now.

I was always trying to figure out what triggered it. Maybe I picked up Benson's Rig too early? I remember I kinetic-pulled it up to me on the tram platform instead of going down and getting it normally. But maybe I was only able to do that because I was already glitched. I dunno.

I was thinking the same thing, I wonder how many of us "accidentally" fell down off the tram platform and picked up the level 5 suit.
