"all new, faded for her" bug (xbox one)

Ok so for some reason the quest marker disappeared (I thought it was completed?) but I can still set it as an active quest, I know that if you follow the path Solas, Cassandra and Varric comment on the dead bodies and such and thats suppose to trigger a cutscene once you get to the area but the way I first arrived at the area was (I started at the dalish camp) by crossing the river and jumping over the rocks while riding my mount (that's when the questmarker dissappeared) so it never triggered for me. I then went the other way around and got the comments but the cutscene still didn't trigger. I can see the pillars with the demon in the middle but I can't interact with it at all and whenever I go back to certain areas now (not even by where the dead mages actually are) all I get is the comment where Solas says that the mages were killed by arrows and Varric says that bandits probably did it, but nothing else.
