So I rolled up a new game a few days ago, saw the black emporium on the PS store when I got jaws of hakkon. I don't seem to have any problems just having it installed, however whenever I actually visit and then leave my sounds all go away, my cut scenes and conversations are all lagged and screwy and when I go to restart the game it freezes on the loading screen. I have to them hot boot my system which I don't like. I know the easy answer is to just not go to the black emporium, but I'd actually like to use it so if there is a fix our something I'd like to do it.Is this happening to anyone else? My ps3 is about 5 ish years old (the one that came out right after they removed backward compatibility). No other problems aside from the usual game glitches I see people talk about.

I have exactly the same issue, i've been posting since I updated to the latest patch (almost 2 weeks now I think) yet still no actual fix from either EA or Bioware.....as wtih every other bug in the game...if these people don't wan't to give us the new DLC fine, what ever, bad policy but still do what ever you want, but refusing to fix a game we already bought? a game that doen't really run that well? that's just wrong, shame on you EA/Bioware! SHAME!

It's not related to jaw of Hawkins, because I have the same exact problem on my deluxe edition I purchased from the psn and only downloaded the black emporium DLC.Seriously though this isn't a small bug. Its a system crasher. I can deal with the frame rates and occassional lag, even the occasional game freezes.I do not however find it acceptable that 9 months after the fact they not only have a game crashing massive bug fixed but have had the time to make new bundle packages and *. I won't be purchasing EA games in the future that's for sure.

For me, merely reloading the game afterwards does not help. Visiting the Black Emporium seems to permanently corrupt any saves afterwards, and the only solution is reloading an old one.What makes this worse is that the game normally autosaves every half to one hour, while visiting the Black Emporium increases the rate to about every five minutes, meaning that the closest uncorrupted save might be before the visit.

I wonder if EA or Bioware are aware of this issue and are planning or doing something to fix it, any official word on the subject any one? i mean, it's been a while since the first post on this issue started, and we still haven't heard anything from the people at either company.

Honestly I have no idea. I haven't heard anything official from this. I've searched around the interbutts and I've found lots of Bl Emp. related issues, but not quite like this one. I'm not even sure who to submit a ticket to on this...Bioware? EA? I honestly think this is the worst (though not game breaking thankfully) issue I've ever had with a Bioware game. I can deal with the ridiculous shine on everything, I can deal with the occasional lag and texture weirdness...they're annoying but not keeping me from playing. This DLC glitch is keeping me from USING the DLC, which I don't like.

It keeps corrupting my ps3 system everytime I download it. It constantly freezes after seconds of startup no matter how many times I format it, restore it or rebuild the system database. Do not download it.

If anyone is interested, I have found way to access the Black Emporium content and retain the gear that you can purchase from it. By no means a perfect solution, but a way to continue playing the game. I recommend creating two save files, one for you current play-through (Always have a backup save!) and the other for testing purposes. On the test file, enter the Black Emporium and do whatever you need to do there. Once you finished, exit the area ( I usually choose Skyhold) and save over the test file. You will have to turn off your console after saving and reload the test file like usual. This method should clear up any bugs that would occur if you didn't turn off your console. Hope it helps!!! Please let me know if anyone comes up with other suggestions.

I just had the glitch rear it's deaf head my way bad news is it will reoccur any time you visit the place. Good news is the glitch itself does NOT "infect" save files so fixing it as easy as leaving the emporium for another map location then after it auto saves quit the game and the console will suffer a soft reboot crash but when you load the travel save the audio will be back normal and you still have anything you bought from the emporium.

A small side note: It seems to me that the issue is caused by Jaws of Hakkon. I say this because I installed the free BE add on months ago and never experienced the sound bug until today after I bought and installed JoH

I am also getting the same exact bug with the deluxe version only. Does any one know if this will be fixed?
