Crash while loading Hanged Man after completing Tranquility

I've been experiencing a serious bug that prevents me from moving farther in the game. I had to restart my game because I didn't have Isabella, and she's crucial to the end of act 2. So tonight I restarted and finished the Tranquility quest to unlock the pre-requisite for Isabella's quest, but whenever I tried to enter The Hanged Man, either by fast travel map or through Lowtown, it would crash on the loading screen. My first time I just assumed it was my computer but since this is the second time it happened its most definitely a bug. I can't progress anymore in the story without this quest and it's stressing me out! It's worth it to mention that any time before finishing the Tranquility quest it wouldn't crash on me, and my first time after i went into act 2 it would load just fine. So its only after Tranquility that it's crashing

  • Two things things to try separately, or together:

    1.  Lower the graphics settings (maybe to the mins.) until the new location has finished loading

    2.  "Windowed" display mode

    (If that doesn't work, submitting a DXdiag report might help us help you.)

    okay so having my res on low and in windowed mode didnt help, it still crashed. do i submit a dxdiag of my whole computer or just the game?

  • @werewolfmlm;

    And here's your problem lady...

    Display Devices
    ---------------
               Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500

    A rig with only the Intel HD graphics chip is never going to be able to run this game.  Period.

    one im not a lady lol and two is there anyway to change the chip? or is the computer stuck the way it is

  • "There's your problem lady..." is an expression.  It means, "'That's why this is not working."

    And no, you have an inadequate machine.  I don't believe there is any way to add a graphics card to your laptop that will allow you to play this game.

    @werewolfmlm;  Something that just occurred to me, (since you say you were able to start and play the game on your machine until trying to enter the Hanged Man at some point):

    Do you have the Graphics Options set to use DX11, or DX9, as the Renderer?

    I noticed on my previous rig I needed to set it to DX9 because my under-powered GPU couldn't handle it otherwise.
