CTD on startup

I've enjoyed DAI several years ago. 400+ hours is recored in my origin.

today, i bought all DLC and download the contents.. and game crash to desktop as soon as i click play. black screen is appeared for ~2 secs and it turned off.

I was very flustraing and read relative thread on this issue. but none of them work including turning off AVAST, reinstalling driver and so on.

I think i've played DAI on windows 8 but now my OS is windows 10.

So i download a pirate version... and it works.

What is this?? Why the game i paid money won't work on my laptop?

Anyone have idea on this issue? Thank you in advance.

I solved this problem by simply re-installing my OS...

I do not know which cause this problem.... as i have also disabled all the service except for the service provided by microsoft, and Nvidia. However, it didn't fix my problem.

Anyway, if any of you meet the same issue as mine, just re-install your OS when none of the past solutions works.

I appreciate both of you for the kind reply.

  • 1)  Avast is still causing issues even though you think you have it turned off...Fix, put in propper exceptions for Origin, DAI and DAI saves, or uninstall Avast...yeah, it can be that much a pain..

    2)  Origin in game is on and causing issues....turn off Origin in game...

    3)  Some other program is cross interfering with DAI or Origin working together...fix is to turn off that program...tracking it down can usually be done by Clean booting system and slowly adding programs back until you find culprit(usually a mouse/keyboard program or something like team viewer which adds a hook or overlay to game..mouse program such as Razor mouse software)

    4)  If you want further help, post a DxDiag per the sticky at the top of the forum and we can see about helping you.  As far as the hacked program working...well, it changes how DAI deals with Origin and some other issues so yeah, sometimes it is a good change, other times it just opens your computer up to other people...

DAI works on Win10, but the NUMBER 1 cause of this issue is Avast/AVG...and that is their issue as DAI has been out longer than the Avast/AVG issue, so it was caused by AVG/Avast being idiots....

Here's a link for dixdiag diagonose. It occurs error to access direct 3d. It seems it's caused by internal graphic card.

I temporary uninstall Avast. and still not work. I've made excepion path but it didn't work.

ingame overaly was turned off. I have steam version of DA:origin but don't have issue.

I delete related DA:I folder in my document folder.

Both graphic card version is the most current version.

I checked win 7 compability mode and run the program as administor but not work.

Any suggestion? ...  The pirate version was worked... so it seems origin itself cause some troubles...

I also checked the starting program. The list are

    ETD Control Center

    GIGABYTE OSDV3

    HD audio background process

Intel Driver and support Assistant tray

    ItunesHelper

    Origin

    Steam Client Bootstrapper

    System Tray

    Windows Defender notification icon

    Realtek HD autio manager

I can't find any weried progam in the list...

It's possible that the Origin version isn't automatically switching to the dedicated graphics card. Just to be sure, force the game to launch the game using the Nvidia GPU. The option should be in the Nvidia control panel under 'manage 3D settings'.

If that doesn't work, just disable the integrated graphics chip entirely. You don't need it.
