Draconology bug
I found a bug in the game where you can't turn in the draconology quest even though i have found frederic

Same problem here. Already killed the dragon, invited him to join the inquisition but the quest and Frederic is still there.

Did all the quests, including luring and killng the dragon. Got the dialog where he offers to join the Inquisiton. Told him we need a draconologist (why the 'c" btw - why is he not a "draGonolist?), accepted, told him to head to Skyhold. He agreed.
Instead he hangs out in his original place on the Western Approach and the Draconology quest remains, along with the map markers.
When engaged, the only dialog option is to ask him about more dragons?!?!??!??I've got the same error.
- I had this issue , think I have a solution. When I met him the first time I walked out of range when he introduced himself and I got the bug you are mentioning.
When I reloaded the auto save from the nearby camp, went back and made sure to let him finish it triggered correctly (I had found the research before meeting him) Same here
I think you have a point, irt going out of range. I decided to get the Chantry thing and then went back. However, I'm too far past that point to check to see if that's my issue. Something to think about. The thing that grates is I've been especially careful not to get requisitions I couldn't fill this time. Now, I've got this dumb quest stuck in my log.
