Dragon Age Inquisition - Stuck on the loading screen after launching the game
Hi!
I got DAI on the EA App (not linked with Steam) today but when I try to play the game, I get stuck on the loading screen (all black with a green symbol on the bottom corner) and the main menu never appears.
I've looked through this site and saw some people had a similar problem. I tried some of the solutions I saw. Such as:
- Disabling my AVG Antivirus and creating an exception for DAI
- Solving the compatibility mode thingy with Windows 8 and 7
- Disabling the Firewall
- Doing a cleanboot (For that one I was unable to disable AVG for some reasons)
- Running EA app and DAI as administrator.
None of them worked. Each time, I was still stuck on the loading screen after launching the game. I could try to uninstall and reinstall, but each time I did that before, it never solved anything.
I'd like to add I was able to play DAI on my computer with a friend's Origin account, It worked untill last night. I dont know why It stopped working but it started crashing right after launching when I synched my Dragon Age Keep infos.
I also had DAI on Steam but my Origin account never understood that I installed the game from Steam and each time I would launch it on Steam, Origin would pop up and say the game is not installed (also I had the game in my collection on Origin, but I couldnt click on the install button). I had the same "there's an error, try later" issue on the EA App. This is why I removed DAI from my Steam library and got it directly on the EA App. At least it knows the game is installed now and it opens,
I dont know what to do at this point. Is it my account? Or a faulty DLC? Should I just uninstall AVG? Was there an update that caused my computer to not run it properly anymore? Is my computer too old even though DAI is the only game that has given me this much trouble?
I hope this wasn't too confusing, English is not my first language and Im not familiar with computer linguo. If someone needs more informations about my computer I'll give them.
I hope someone can help me and thank you in advance. 🙂
Do you happen to have Origin installed? Maybe it's a problem with the EA app, so make sure that's closed and try to run Dragon Age Inquisition from Origin.
In addition: There's a bug where load times in Inquisition are extremely long when Origin in-game overlay is disabled, so make sure that's on. I tried to recreate that problem in EA app, but it doesn't have the same issue. Still, if you want to test the game in Origin, make sure the in-game overlay is on.I also know of a bug where load times can be longer when using RivaTuner, so if that's running in the background, turn it off. If you don't know what RivaTuner is, don't worry about this.

Also make an exception for the installation folder of EA App and Origin (if you have it installed).
