Dragon Age Inquisition Unable To Load Saved Data Error

I play Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I quit. Come back a few hours later that day.

I get this:

But I do have it.

In fact, I have EA Play.

Notice the number of hours.

First, the idiotic AI chat bot thinks I need help with VR on F1 22.

When I finally find a real human in chat, it's someone outsourced from India, and they have zero help.

They finally tell me that other people have had the issue (no one else seems to, I checked) and that a fix would be posted on social media at some point. WHAT?!

Then they close it and refuse to open it.

This is some next level complete BS. What did I pay for?!?!?!?!

Uninstalled. I have no desire to play the game anymore because EA does not think of me as a valued customer. I'm done.

    EA "Support" non-existent and liars

    This is an oxymoron.
It can be one or the other, but not both. 😛

The "Dragon Age forums" you talk about is brand new, as in a few days old and provide technical support only for "Dragon Age the Veilguard".
Both forums, AHQ and this new Forum are moderated Player help Player forums.
The Bug forum for DAi is long closed, the game is 10 years old and is not getting Patches any longer.

For EA support itself, it is very hard for them to correct a problem that is probably on your machine.

If you still interested in fixing this, just reinstalling the game will probably do that. 😉

I tried that. Didn't work. All it did was reduce my play hours from 286 hours to 1 minute.

"For EA support itself, it is very hard for them to correct a problem that is probably on your machine."

On my machine? It ran fine then when I came back to it, it didn't. Same hardware. Same source.

I don't see how it could claim I didn't have the DLC when I clearly did, and not only did I, but it was the EA Play version which comes with all the DLC.

@JonahFalcon Hey, i took a look at your account to make sure there were no changes and I see nothing that would reflect an issue. Typically with this error, something locally changed or became corrupted.

In most cases, it's a profile file, or something happened with the DLC folder. So, with that being said I need to know the following:

    Fully uninstalled the game:

Has another EA account logged into your PC:

Do you have more than one drive on your PC:

Do you have the EA app, game, and DLC installed in the default location:
Delete ALL DLC folders from C:\Program Files\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\DLC - OR current location in your PC
    Delete DAI Profile File:
    Delete all temp Windows files:
    Performed a reg clean-up:

I uninstalled and reinstalled. And uninstalled. For good.

There's only one EA account, and it's linked to Xbox.

Yep, never was a problem before. If I'm playing the EA Play version of DA:I, it shouldn't matter.

Everything you mentioned should not matter, because all of the games I play off EA Play work fine.

DA: I is the only one that claims I don't own a DLC... when as you should know the Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition includes ALL DLC on EA Play.

Messing with the registry shouldn't matter.

And on a side note, the EA support chat made a baldfaced lie to me, saying the bug was widespread. Nowhere have I seen the same issue. Not doing searches on EA, Twitter, or even Google searches. Then said the fix would be announced on social media. You know, just social media. Then closed my case with "No Fix" on it. Yeah. Sure.

( 28m 14s ) Rohit: yes , and that is what i checked with the team.
I would request you to wait for some time till this gets through. I know nobody likes to wait however rest assured the team is actively working on it.
( 28m 32s ) Rohit: The team will post on the twitter when they have results. And this is not a account specific issue and we have been receiving reports on the same issue from other players as well.
    ( 29m 39s ) Jonah: ah
    ( 29m 40s ) Jonah: ok
( 30m 46s ) Rohit: I really appreciate the kind understanding you showed. It was really great talking to you,
    appreciate your patience and cooperation.
( 30m 48s ) Rohit: Thank you so much for taking some time and contacting to EA. I wish you have a great day🙂
    Chat Ended by: Agent

The agent never suggested what you suggested. So which one of you is the right answer?

@JonahFalcon - Hey there! This is a known issue that the community developed a fix for back in 2021. EA has no fix, will never have a fix, and will not be able to help you. EA support WAS pointing people to this mod previously. Not sure why they're not doing it anymore. If you need help, DM me and we can connect on Discord.

If the link gets nuked, just go to Nexus Mods and search for ProfileOptions.
