I'm having the same issue here, Is there a solution for this ???
I had that issue, and for me, I had to shut down Teamviewer. I have that running in the background normally on my computer, and shutting down this allowed the game to at least get to the character creation screens.
For me, it crashes to the desktop right after the guards see you passed out on the ground cut scene.
