No mods. I got it to work by starting from an earlier save before I even went to Caridin's Cross. I think it wasn't working because I cleared Ortan Thaig and Caridin's Cross without Oghren and then went back to Orzammar to get him.
Now I've gotten past that point to the Anvil and it keeps crashing while I'm fighting the spinning stone head with the spirit anvils.
- I'm also facing exactly same problem, in my case however I also tried going back to Orzammar and using map to reach dead trenches, but still after Caridin's Cross as the team moves on map, game crashes and my desktop becomes unresponsive and I've to switch off from power button.
Previously when I had origins it was fine this problem began when I updated to ultimate version.
