Just spent my $69 plus tax to get deluxe version of Dragon Age Inquistion. I am getting the errorGetting VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue (-2114715647)and can't seem to download my game. I purchased it for PC in the box not the download version. Please help!!!!! I want to play my game!!!!!!

ok finnaly got the game to install . 1/ opened redist folder vc 2008 sp1 and deleted it.2/opened redist folder vc 2010 copied it and moved it to 2008 folder.3/ closed click install in roigin and it worked

Found a way to cheat the installer I think, at least for my problem. Since it was the vc2008SP1 version that wouldn't install, I renamed the existing distribution there, and copied the 2013 distribution file, which I could install manually, into that directory (the vc2008SP1 one), and since it had the same filename, just left it as is. Installer worked. Game seems to be working fine so far.

The installer simply isn't able to detect that it has been installed.

I'm having the same problem with the Download version for PC. Not really looking forward to having to spend 30+ hours downloading again. Please help.

No good. Downloading and installing from Mcriosoft has no effect.

Uninstalling and reinstalling C++ has no effect.

So, I'm having these same issues and I've tried everything in all the replies here as well as a few other things from other forums and the game STILL won't install. Now what? I'm pissed that I just spent $60 on a game that I can't play or even return since it's been opened....

Same problem, but mine is with the downloaded version. In the installer log, it shows:
20:19:18 Launching process:

I can manually install the OTHER 2 C++ distributions, but the game won't install in any case and neither I nor the Origins installer can get the 2008SP1 version to install. I've tried to download the same file directly from MS, same results. I'm trying to find fixes for this currently, but sure looks like the Origin installer could use one of the other versions of the C++ distro to fix this, or make it selectable?
Running the 2008SP1 redistr manually gives the following error which may help: "The installation package or needed file could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it." Haven't figured out a way around it.
Also, I wonder if this is related to a MS .Net Framework software install issue I have noticed intermittently on my computer, but not been able to fix, probably due to a different game install (but everything seems to be working fine)?

Worked for me too. For the person who asked where to find this, go to the __Installer\vc directory in your Inquisition install. go into the 2012 folder and run the .exe there.
